Episode 408: Rushing Woman’s Syndrome
Have you ever felt overwhelmed of constant “GO, GO, GO?”
You aren’t alone! We tend to overwhelm ourselves with our “to-do” lists and set unrealistic expectations.
Sure, you change things like your eating and exercise habits, but underneath it all, if you continue to beat yourself up, you will still be fatigued.
This is a process. You need to implement little daily changes so your body and mind will start trusting you again.
As you continue on your spiritual or personal development path, be sure to recognize the mental pressure you are putting on yourself.
Make the needed adjustments to align your mind and body for less overwhelm in your life.
When asked " What thing about humanity surprises you the most?" the Dalai Lama answered: "Man... because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die; and then dies having never really lived." - The Dalai Lama
Learn to recognize that you are a work in progress. You don’t have to be perfect. Change happens over time with consistency.
Realize that you don’t have to do everything on your to-do list TODAY. You can take moments to pause and break the cycle of constant “GO, GO, GO.”
